Woodwork

Can we build it? Yes we can! As the construction continues, my skills with power tools enhances, whilst Jason's patience grows. (So much for the anonymity of these posts. Oh well!) Our name stems from more than the do it yourself (DIY) projects you will get to work on at our space. It is engrained and interwoven into all the things we do. Well, most of it.

One of those things is woodworking. We are excited to say the wood used for the frame of our bar, and our utility sink, are from The Rebuilding Center on Mississippi. The Rebuilding center is filled with materials to get you through home, commercial, or recreational projects. A lot of these materials would have otherwise been recycled or landfilled, so it's awesome to see them get a better use. They also have a deconstruction team, so if you need a house demolished you know who to call. Say goodbye to those pesky neighbors!

Back to woodworking. Since we were kids Jason has had an affinity with wood... hehe... He basically built an entire skatepark at our house. Those skills have evolved over the years so he has been steering the ship on this whole buildout process. (I wanted to be an elf, but toys changed over the years. Santa's elves these days probably don't know anything about woodworking. It's got to be all about those electronic gadgets. Either way, I never learned woodworking) Together, we're building all of the wood casework that you'll see when you visit!
